I Ought to be in Pictures
By Neil Simon
Directed by Bill Zarriello
November 2 – December 11, 2016
Pollock Stage

This three-character dramedy involves Herbert Tucker, a struggling screenwriter who abandoned his New York family 16 years earlier. His daughter, Libby, arrives at the West Hollywood home of her father, whom she barely remembers. She is convinced that he can give her the Hollywood acting career she desires. Filled with guilt and demanding love, Libby not only forces Herb to deal with the responsibilities of parenthood, but to come to terms with his relationship with girlfriend, Steffy.
The STC, a long-time partner with the Sacramento Public Library is eager to welcome Library staff from all over the state. The performance features a pre-show where elements of the production are discussed that enhance the understanding of the performance and the play. The Theatre is located on H and 15th, an easy 3 block walk or brief Uber ride from the Conference Center.
